No matter the political landscape, financial turmoil and never ending debate the one thing we Sri Lankan’s agree on is having a good time. So any number of pubs, bars and restaurants popping up is a very good idea for those of always looking for something new to eat drink and a new place to wash our weekly woes away.
My cousin being a big fan of Kumar Sangakkara had been casually dropping hints of his wanting to visit “Next Innings”. We were of course a bit more skeptical, however last weekend we took the plunge and went ahead.
The drink menu is as you would find in any local pub but the prices are not outrageous. They do have a few cocktails and I must say kudos to the “Bloody Mary” it was fantastic 🙂
All in all it is a place that I can see us visiting over and over again simply for the ambiance and the food. Must definitely give credit to the servers as well. They were polite, welcoming and brought in our orders pretty fast.

As per our conversations with one of the servers they do plan on extending the menu in the future and I did notice a pretty acceptable pizza menu which we were not able to try that day. Out of the items we tried which were – The Foot Long Hot dog, Onion Rings, Potato Wedges and French Toast the quality and portions were more than satisfactory.

The first impression is what is states out to be – a sports bar. Several TV screens around so you can see irrespective of wherever you sit, but not all screens play the same match. So check what is playing before you take a seat.
One of my favourite aspects of this place is that the prices are all inclusive, which makes it ideal for you to gauge what your contribution is to the bill when arriving in large groups.
