When I personally think of the top options for Buffett’s it’s always been – Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury. Galadari was never an option that ever crossed my mind BUT that changed completely with my visit to their Weekend Family Lunch this Saturday!

The bunch of us went around 12 Pm and service runs till 2.30 PM. When I heard the price of Rs. 1955 believe me I was skeptical of what would be available and boy was I proven wrong.

The selection of food ranged from Indian to Chinese and I was pleasantly surprised to see “Beef Chowmein”. Starting off the appetizers consisted of a wide range of sea food items from sushi to sea food cocktails. One important point to note is the seasoning, the food was all well seasoned. The make your own Cesar salad was a nice touch.

Moving on to the mains, as mentioned before the variety was amazing. Sri Lankan, Continental, Indian and Chinese were the cuisines available. I tried out something from each cuisine and especially loved the steamed Fish in cream sauce, it was perfectly cooked, soft and flakey! The Indian food especially the vada was on the dry end.

The downfall of this whole lunch was dessert! There was a limited number if items and none of them were exactly winners. The chocolate crunchy lacked flavor and it was like biting in to a plain cracker though it looked inviting. Limited availability of fruits too was disappointing.

The servers were pleasant and helpful that should be mentioned. Overall if rating on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best I would give it a 7/10 and it’s absolutely way more worth than the price that you pay for it.

Until next time… Ciao…

I am Chavindie, and I wanted to start blogging for two reasons. First, because I love writing, let it be anything from a sentence to a paragraph, witty comment or poem as long as I can scribble I am happy. The second reason was the lack of information on visas for those of us applying from Sri Lanka.
