Amsterdam is by far my favourite city in the world! There is so much to do in this vibrant, colourful and friendly city that no matter how many times you visit each visit feels brand new!

Having been there twice one of my favorite attractions is Madame Tussaud’s located at Dam Square. I know most of you would think what could possibly change with wax figures that it requires two visits? For me the best feature of the attraction is that there is no rush, you can pick your own time, there are so many activities to do like Catwalks, wax hands and no one is going to bother you even if you take 10 or 100 photos.

Each year that you visit there is something new, a new dramatic entrance or new wax figures and so on.

If you are hyper-organized like me then you can purchase tickets online and pick the time you would like to visit as well. This offers two advantages –

  • You avoid the queue and go there at the designated time show your ticket and go in.
  • The price of the ticket is less than the usual price you get at the gate or anytime visit tickets.

Staff is super friendly they get you engaged in a variety of activities as well. They do not dilly dally and help you with anything.

At the end of the tour, you can get your pictures taken using their cameras either in a booklet type frame, fridge magnets, key tags or a glittery liquid glitter frame! There is a wide variety of other merchandise as well and it’s very easy to get carried away!

Even on your way down the stairs, you get a variety of figures and to end your tour Spider-Man perched on a vertical wall!

I hope I have given you a reason or two to drop into Madame Tussaud’s the next time you are in Amsterdam!

Until next time… I will leave you with this quote…

It feels good to be lost in the right direction

I am Chavindie, and I wanted to start blogging for two reasons. First, because I love writing, let it be anything from a sentence to a paragraph, witty comment or poem as long as I can scribble I am happy. The second reason was the lack of information on visas for those of us applying from Sri Lanka.
